Customers invest in Plattco valves to ensure reliable airlock valve performance.  We have spent decades perfecting product enhancements to overcome the most difficult problems found in heavy industry throughout the world.  These enhancements can be applied to most of our product lines to help increase valve efficiency, decrease maintenance costs, and improve safety.  

Plattco product enhancements include the following:

Plattalloy XL Coating:

An enhancement to our seat and flapper sealing faces, this tungsten carbide coating is applied to handle material in extreme abrasion applications.   Plattalloy XL offers the highest abrasion resistance commercially available.

Patented Mechanical Shaft Seals:

The Plattco mechanical shaft seal is a patented product which allows the double flap valve to operate at pressures up to 40 PSIG / 2.75 Barg.  These seals eliminate shaft seal leakage out of the valve which can result in valve breakdown, as well as safety and housekeeping violations.

Camlock and Hinged Camlock Access Covers:

The Plattco camlock and hinged camlock access covers for our double flap valves are quick access “doors” which can be opened quickly without the use of tools. These access covers are applied to valves operating in low pressure differential environments of 1 PSIG / 0.07 Barg and lower.

Safety Guards:

Plattco safety guards ensure that valve pinch points are covered to ensure personnel protection.  These guards comply with OSHA and MSHA guarding standards and can be applied to new valve purchases as well as existing valves in the field.

Patented EZ Seat:

The Plattco EZ Seat design is a patented replaceable seat face applied to our standard H-Series and S8-Series double flap valves.  This EZ seat face allows for quick and easy replacement of the seat face while leaving the main seat in place.  It is especially applied to valves in extreme wear applications, valves requiring a near bubble-tight seal, and to large valves where seat replacement is difficult due to heavy casting weights.
